CIRE2N is a NSF Center of Research Excellence in Science and Technology dedicated to the education of environmentally-conscious undergraduate and graduate students using the latest technology, discoveries, and educational material for a successful integration in the scientific workforce. As a fellow of this program from 2018 until 2021, I conducted research, in the Water Reclamation and Multifunctional Materials Laboratory, under the program's first goal of studying and understanding the interactions that occur when nanomaterials are utilized for the remediation of water and soil.
